EL DERECHO ROMANO EN LAS LIBRERÍAS DE LOS ABOGADOS Y REGIDORES OVETENSES DEL SIGLO XVII: TINEO-SABIDO

THE ROMAN LAW IN THE SHELVES OF THE ATTORNEYS AND OVETENSES ALDERMEN OF THE 17TH CENTURY: TINEO ESTRADA AND FERNANDEZ SABIDO

RESUMEN

          En el último tercio del siglo XVII, Asturias y su capital dispuso de unos abogados de primer nivel, no solo en su formación jurídica sino en los instrumentos bibliográficos para la elaboración de sus obligaciones, en el ámbito académico, donde eran docentes de una Facultad, y en el foro, acudiendo a los órganos jurisdiccionales, secular y eclesiástico. Tineo Estrada y Fernández Sabido, nacidos fuera de Vetusta, pero dentro del Principado de Asturias, uno maliayo y otro gijonés, desarrollaron toda su actividad como letrados y profesores en la Fundación universitaria de Valdés Salas, además de ejercer coyunturalmente el oficio de jueces, por designación del regimiento ovetense. Sus librerías, cuyo inventario se acompaña, son un testimonio fidedigno de la amplia bibliografía que tenían en sus bibliotecas privadas, acreditativas de una mentalidad ilustrada y abierta en los más diversos ámbitos del saber, además de la sólida fundamentación de sus intervenciones como juristas, en el Estudio universitario y en los tribunales.

ABSTRACT            

          In the last third of the 17th century, Asturias and his capital he had a few attorneys of the first level, not only in his juridical formation but in the bibliographical instruments for the production of his obligations, in the academic area, where they were teachers of a Faculty, and in the forum, coming to the jurisdictional organs, secular and ecclesiastically. Tineo Estrada and Fernandez Sabido, born out of Vetusta, but inside the Asturias, one maliayo and another gijonés, developed all his activity as lawyers and teachers in Valdés Salas's university Foundation, beside exercising in the circumstances of the moment the judges' trade, for designation of the regiment ovetense. His shelves, which inventory accompanies, are a trustworthy testimony of the wide bibliography that they had in his private, supporting libraries of a mentality illustrated and opened in the most diverse areas of know, besides the solid foundation of his interventions as jurists, in the university Study and in the courts.
