LOS PATRES: UN ANÁLISIS RETROSPECTIVO HACIA SU MÁS GENUINO SENTIDO
PATRES: A RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS TOWARD THEIR MOST GENUINE SENSE

RESUMEN Consideramos que es posible hallar un significado del término patres que va más allá del aportado por la doctrina, las fuentes y la tradición romanística, un valor que permita desvelar la íntima y profunda vinculación que une pensamiento y palabra, pues la palabra expresa ya el concepto, y aún más, su derivación. Patres forma parte del patrimonio lingüístico indoeuropeo, por ello se hace necesario llevar a cabo una mirada retrospectiva hacia el sentido más genuino del citado término a la luz de la etimología. Este análisis desvelará un sustrato semántico común a patres y a sus correspondientes términos en las diversas lenguas indoeuropeas sobre la base de una koinή cultural.
ABSTRACT
We consider that it is possible to find a meaning of the word patres that goes beyond the one contributed by the doctrine, the sources and the tradition of Roman Law, a sense that makes possible to show the great connection between thought and word, because the word express the concept, and even more, the derivation. Patres is part of the Indo-European linguistic patrimony, therefore it is necessary to do a retrospective look toward the most genuine sense of the word judging by the etymology. This analysis will show a common meaning to patres and to the words in the several Indo-European languages on the base of cultural koinή.
