THE PROHIBITION OF THE IUS CONNUBI TO THE DEDITICII AELIANI

RESUMEN El objeto del presente trabajo es la prohibición del connubium prescrita a los peregrinos dediticios y mas concretamente de los peregrinos (libertos) ex lege Aelia Sentia, cuya unión more uxorio el ordenamiento romano no consideraba iustae nuptiae, y sus consecuencias jurídicas. De este modo, se tratará de examinar si el matrimonio entre dediticii era aceptado por Roma, si este matrimonio tenía efectos jurídicos, y hasta qué punto los dediticios podían alcanzar la ciudadanía romana y consiguientemente su matrimonio podía ser considedrado iustum matrimonium.
ABSTRACT
The object of the present work is the prohibition of the connubium prescribed the peregrini dediticii and but concretely of the peregrini dediticii ex lege Aelia, whose union more uxorio the Roman Law didn't consider iustae nuptiae, and its juridical consequences. This way, it will be about examining if the marriage among dediticii was accepted by Rome, if this marriage had juridical effects, and to what extent the dediticii could reach the Roman citizenship and consequently its marriage could be iustum matrimonium.
