RESUMEN La aplicación en España del derecho musulmán durante ocho siglos, único país europeo en el que se aplicó un derecho distinto del romano visigótico que encontraron los musulmanes al invadir España en el 711, significó un acontecimiento que pudo haber cambiado el rumbo de su derecho no sólo en España sino también en Europa.
ABSTRACT The application in Spain of the Muslim Law during eight centuries, European only country in that a different law from the Roman-Visigothic was applied which found the Muslims when invading Spain in the 711, meant an event that could not only have changed the direction of its Law in Spain but also in Europe.
